Mediterranean Sea Coasts trip with no-tech

They are some photos from Antalya-Tekirova and my friends that im talking about in my article

It was in 2007 Summer,a boat trip around Mediterranean coasts.

In 2007 summer while I was spending my vacation in Antalya with my best friend we were helping a friend who has scuba diving school in a big hotel called Phaselis Rose in Antalya-Tekirova we had a conversation about today's vacations.We had been living in a big hotel so we could observe people clearly.They were so unreal because while a visitor was getting sunbath in front of sun and he was drinking his beverage,he was trying to care with his business or he was trying to solve a problem about house or relatives in kilometers way home at the same time.Soon afterward We agreed on an idea ''Technology makes our vacations wearisome''

One of my friend who was diver had a big boat using to go tourist groups diving trips it was not a huge boat but it had a kitchen,two bathrooms,two ship’s cabins there were hammocks everywhere on the deck and on the roof there were lots of ground pillows.Boat had a nice engine we did not need a sail.It was competible for any kind of coast trips living-sleeping-eating- would not be a problem too.

Me,my friend Nihat,and diver Ersin sit and talked about ‘’going a trip and not take any kind of technological devices,only in this way we could rest for real and talking with people in a real way because everybody was thinking something different when talking with somebody and it was such an annoying behaviour.

Since We decided to go a trip with no technological tools such as telephones,computers etc. many people many people heard about our trip and wanted to join us.

In the beginning of August we sailed away from Tekirova.The next day we casted anchor near a location called 3 islands.During this time we had been fishing,swimming and having good time there with no technology.I still could not believe in this...Nobody took their mobile phones with them.


It was very enjoyable there were lots of things to do without any technology I have never rested more than the next day we had sailed away.Finally there was nobody who is talking with their phones or typing their notebooks like mad.Sleeping in a boat was fell like cradle...


Eventually we had a problem about engine we had to call reinforcement by the time we asked people to if they had a mobile phone everybody took out their mobile phones...it was a full of disappointment but at last we needed a mobile phone.

Im Görkem and here is my personality and also test results.
First of all,i was born and grew up in Antalya.I graduaded from Antalya Anatolian High school.I really miss my school and also my friends...Anyways here is some information about my family.I have one sister.Her name is Gözde and she is going to TED college's high school in Antalya.My father's name is Osman.He is a bank manager in Antalya.I love him as well as my mother.My mother's name is Dilek.She is also retired from bank management.
Lets talk about myself...Im also kind,sensible,generous,smart and little bit self confident and strong willed person.I like doing sports,like football,basketball and also tennis.I have playing tennis for 7 years.But i have to stop doing sports while prepairing the big exam you know :))...
I like listening music like everybody.I listen all kind of musics which sounds good for me.But im also like heavy metal,r&b,jazz,classic and country musics.My favourite band is a heavy metal group.Which called 'Lamb of God'.These guys makes awesome songs.I advise everybody who loves listening heavy metal musics to listen LoG.As some people says that 'These guys totally rock' ^^.In the other hand,i like some other bands too like Nickelback and Metallica.I really respect Jimi Hendrix,who choked from his spit and died :/.As i read,he uses much heroin and falled sleep then it happend..Anyway,of course he didnt become famous with these situation.He found distortion,which is a voice when you playing guitar.It was a huge step for other rock and metal bands.Rest in Peace Jimi :(...
Anyways I totally support and also a fan of Galatasaray football team.I ll try to cant miss games this season.You can find some fotos from our place of worship.
I have being Istanbul for just a month for university.I love this city but there is also crowed and mobility in it and it makes me tired sometimes but i can figure it out.

İ love reading book.my favorites is history novels.the book which i read last is ‘şu çılgın türkler’.at these days i am reading nietche.but i can not understand him clearly.so i will read again after the univercity.

My name is Selin Mordeniz. I was born in Istanbul. Since then, I have been living in Uskudar. I have graduated from Bilfen Private High School this year. And now here I am with you in Ozyegin University.

I am the only child of my family. That means I don't have any brothers and sisters. My mother Eda, is an economist and bank manager, graduated from 9 Eylul University. My father Adnan, is an boutique hotel manager, graduated from Bosphorus University. I spend very enjoyable times with my parents, we like traveling together. I have a great mother and father, they are very helpful and inspiring parents. In summer vacation and weekends I go my father's hotel in old city Sultanahmet. According to my msnbc test result, I am between type A and type B, which is not so surprising to me. 90 % ,I agree with this result. To explain other 10 % is, that I believe this kind of tests may not cover everything, the tests maynot catch me exactly. I like people and I care about their thoughts, feelings, ideas,. I am positive, helpful, friendly, sharing, emotional person. I believe in team work. I am very trustable that you can rely on me to the end. I can be a CEO, but than, I need a strong and reliable team. I will be happy if I can make positive improvements in my life..I believe my university is the best place for my expectations..

And my hobies are; I like reading biography, since -fiction, advanture and travel books. I am also very good music listener. I have a very good cd collection. Cinema is one of favourites. Summer times, I swim alot. Aegean cost is the best, I like cold seas. I have a big family. My grandparents and aunts are living in Izmir provience. We have summer house in Seljuk. This place is also very ancient and historic. Maybe because of Seljuk and Sultanahmet, I was seriously thinking of studying Art History or Art Management in the University. But when I saw Ozyegin University I liked this school very much and I put it to the first place in my list. I have relatives in Sofia , Bulgaria and this winter I plan to go to ski there with my family. That is really great sport, but I hope I will not brake my leg. And I looooveee travelling!! I have been to Europe, S. Africa, just fantastic. I want to see North and South America, Finland and other interesting places. I want to see northern countries because I like cool weather instead of hot weather. I am very sorry for global warming and its results. I wish we could save our planet. I do care environment, I think each of us must do something to save the world. I like "Badem" , he looks wonderful. I want to hug him!!!

I have got a boat for fishig. A lot of people think that fishing is boring.. About my personality... I joined the test about personality on Msnbc page.İt says that ı am a type A-orB plus.I think that the test is true because my personality is a little bit type A a little bit type B.I will tell something about my personality. ME and MYSELF

Hi, I am Elif. Iwas born in Istanbul. Iam 20. I graduated from Vantan Anatolion High School. My parents came from Yugoslavia. They immigrated in 1964. That was big experiencefor them live in other country. But now they are happy. In our parish there are more Yugoslavian people than Turkish. And it helps them to get used to live in Turkey. Anyway, my mother is housewife and my father is retired. I have four brothers. All of us were born in Turkey. My oldest brother and second brother have been living in Czech Rep. since 1995. My oldest brother has two children who called Melisa and Egemen. Melisa is 6, Egemen is only one year old. They are so cute and i love them so much.
I am one girl and youngest child in may family that's why my brothers keen on me, also I am keen on them. I live with my parents and my brothers live in the same apartment with us. As you can see I have a huge family.


Now let's check my personality. My personality is between A and B. And according to msnbc quiz test I am between A- and B+ . I agree with the result of the quiz. When you want something , you must be ambitious and anxious. I think that's the point of succes. but they are not enough. You must be also hardworking near by ambitious and anxious. Because without doing anything, you can not get what you want. I think I have all of three.

Untill now I spoke ordinary things about my life. Here is the other face of my life. I swam in swimming club for 5 years when I was primary school. And in high school I played badminton for a while. In normal life I am stressfull. It is easy to get me stressed. Sport makes me relax. Because of that after oss I went to fitness. I am sportive person but also I getting bored easily.

Honesty is the most important value in my friendships. Honesty, relaibility build good friendships. I am friendly but before making friends, I sight people which character they have. I care about it, everybody is different and I never want to break their hearts that's why I am thougtful.

How wonderful seeing you ! The best place to begin is presenting my respect and affection to all of you... I am Nihal.As you know I am a student at Özyegin University.Until last august, I was a math student at Gebze High Technology Enstitue.I spent really good times at there.My teachers and friends were also very valuable people for me.I thought I am so lucky because of meeting them.

When we meet someone for the first time, we usually ask “How old are you? Where are you from ? How you got any brother or sister? Are you going to school?”.I guess that you are also worried about the answers about them.So I can begin introducing myself with giving answers to them.I was born in 1988 in Istanbul.I am from Sinop,Boyabat.Although I was borned and grow up in Istanbul ,I am saying I am from Boyabat.Because in Turkey people usually say their father’s birthplaces as their hometowns.I obey this cultural rule as well.How abaout my family?I am living with my parents and I have got only one brother.And he is going İTÜ electric-engineering,started this year.

I spent most of my years with studying hardly.As a reward I have taken degree when I finished my schools.I was the first at middle school and also I was third at high school.Math is the my favorite lesson.Its place is different in my life.

My favorite colour is blue.And my lucky number is five.I love cartoons too much.If I have free time I usually watch them.I really enjoy while I am watching cartoons.My favorite cartoons are Jetgiller,Stone Age,Buggs Bunny...What else,I am interested in astrology.I believe in it.Everyday, I read my daily comment on the website of mynet astrology.It gives me some opinions about what can be happen in the future.

I can define myself easily,because I know myself with all my details.I can guess what will I do after an event.But also, sometimes I get some tests for understanding my psychological mood.For example,I took “overall anger test” on last Friday. It really matches with my mood.Up to the result of that test ;my overall score was 80 percent,so it was guite high.Also I was seemed to get angry much more often than the average individual did.I want to share a sentence which is written in that result that I liked so much : ”Whatever the case , learning to control your anger would likely prove beneficial”. I think, I must learn to control myself .Also getting so angry has some bad sides on my health and relationships.Now,I know that nothing worthes getting worked up about.

There was an another test which measures the stress.According to this test’s result there are multiple stressors in my life that are causing on excessive amount of tension and anxiety for me.The result was giving me some advices for coping with stress.Here are the advices: daily exercise, meditation,a good hearty laugh...A major source of stress in my daily life can be “work” says the result.It is shocking but true.I am trying to do too much work in too little time.For minimizing the effects of stressors,it advises to go for a walk,get some fresh air etc. Also up to the result,I must try to delegate some tasks to others if I find myself overwhelmed with my duties.I must learn saying “no” to people in difficult cases.

Tests give the true information about us.So I recommend you to take care of them.If you correspond the given advices,maybe you can be better.So these kind of tests effects me all the time...

I can also identfy myself with the word of organised.I plan everything before I do it.I don’t do anything without thinking and putting events in order.I am usually creative.I try to do something unusual.However,I can not say that I am a sociable person,neither talkative.I have got a bad habit : I thought that everyone is reliable.I trust everyone,at the end I get terrible results and sadness.I can not say any bad words to anybody.Also I am even-tempered and hardworking as well.I study hardly all the time.Studying is not boring for me.It makes me feel enjoyable and relaxed.I can exactly say that I am an ambititious person.Being ambititious always helps me when I want to start the life from the beginning.So I love being ambitious.The other thing is I am always bossy for my brother , although he is only one year smaller than me .

Hi! My name is Samet Saygıner. I am 20 years old. I am from Mersin and I was born in Mersin. I am in Ozyegin University now but, before this, I had an experience for a short time in Istanbul Tecnichal University that is other university of Istanbul. My family consist of my father, mother, my three sisters and my brother. My mother is a housewife. My father retired form his job four years ago. They still live in Mersin. All of my sisters and brother are teachers. Three of them in Istanbul, other one in capital city of Turkey, Ankara. I like so much all members of this family.

In my life, I like playing football and swimming. I like watching all sports games except american football, because I don't understand that games rules : ). I like watching movies so much, my favourite movie is Prestige from Christopher Nolan. After that I don't miss Will Smith movies and fantastic movie series. I like T.V. series as much as movies.I am following on Valley of Wolfs, Lost and How I Met Your Mother series at present.I like different kinds of music; I prefer anatolian rock type in Turkish music, R&B type in foreign music.My favourite singers are Kıraç from Turkey, Kat DeLuna and Akon from America.As final addition of music subject, I listen "Mediterranean Nights" song in Mersin's July nights, it can be best in that times.

My Msnbc personality test result is between type A- and B+. I agree this test result pretty much. People usually percieve me type A but I also have some B type characteristics. As a start, I am a relaxed person. Maybe, at the first look it seems be serious but I think it's not me. I don't like much talking, I am not a talkative. I can build new friendships easily, this makes me friendly and helpful.In addition, I can describe me as open-minded and reformistic.

I am a successful student in education life. But I never be really organized or hard-working. In August 2004, I joined a summer science camp which organized by The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey. Hi! I'm Gökhan.I'm 19.And i was born in Kocaeli which is an industrial and crowded city next to İstanbul.However much I don't like it's properties,i can not give up this city.Because it's my hometown:)I have completed my education until the university in Kocaeli.I'm a junior partner of Ozyegin University now:)

My family includes four people.I've a sister named Güler who is 27 and a primary school teacher.She is married for 2 months and living in İstanbul.When we were child,we were arguing with each other so much.But now,i thank to the God for having a sister like her.

I do not like sports very much except swimming.Because i can not stand sweating.Most of people especialy men in Turkey are crazy about football.So i support Beşiktaş football team which has black and white colours with an eagle on it's emblem.

Also i love pets.I have had hamsters,tortoises,dogs and birds.Now,my dog HERA is alive only.İt has been living for 2 years with my family.

For my personality,İ am between type A and B.I always say things that are on my mind.So sometimes this gets me into trouble.But i am proud of being honest.And i become happy when i help to someone,find a solution for a problem.On the other hand,being a hospitable person is very important for Turkish culture.So i try to be the most hospitalbe one.Also i can have friendships easily.I think i am friendly and easy-going.Everyone should be ambitious.But must not let to be jealous. Because being a jealous person makes you depressed and stressful.

I like taking charges. So i have joined to the elections for the student concil in high school.I became very successful and represented about 20000 students in my town.I think the secret of this is being assertive and cautious.

In the future,being a good politician is my dream.My uncle is a president of a municipality.So he effects me very much.And i want to be in power,to be more successful and talented.

I admire Mustafa Kemal Atatürk the founder of Turkish Republic and i am trying to be open-minded for the other ideas:)

Hi!My name is Aykut.I was born in 1 april,1990 in İstanbul.I am living with my family in Sarıyer.I have a sister and she is fourteen years old.I graduated from Beşiktaş Atatürk Anatolian Highschool(BAAL) this year.I wrote this school in my first choice and i am here now.I am watching films so much.I watched three hundred films in last five months.It's my biggest hobby.I have a little film archive.You can see my favorite movies in my blog.I am a funs Pacino,Deniro,Sean Penn and Guy Ritchie.My favourite groups are Nirvana,Pentagram,Blink 182,iron maiden and Judast Priest.I'm listening only hardrock and heavy metal.I like comedy series.I never miss Two and a half man,According to Jim and Komedi Dükkanı.I have a few great friends and i like hangout with them.I like all sports but i dont play anything.So i can say i am not enercetic person.I have got two aunts in Chicago and i will go there next summer.Its my biggest wish near future.


It is time for write about my personality.James Sawyer always says"Everybody live for own"in Lost.I belive this and i dont trust anyone.I am suspicious so much.Its problem sometimes in relationships.I am really easy-going,even tempered,self-indulgent,objective,realistic person.My bad side is i am pesimistic."Ernest Hemingway was said'The world is a fine place and worth fighting for.'I agree with the second part".This cue from Seven.I think life is hard so we must to be strong-willed,ambitious and resolute.I think i have all of them. Hi!! My name is Hazal Temelli :)

My family is 4 people. My mother, my father, my elder brother and me. My father’s name is Çetin and he is 56 years old. He graduaded from university in Germany so he knows German very well. Actually he tried to teach me and i have got a little bit German (but not much). He is a textile engineer. His work is really hard so i can’t see him very much. He loves me and thinks me all the time and i know he is always with me. My mother’s name is Gülten and she is 53 years old. She graduaded from high school college and then went to England to learn English. She has got a wonderful English. She is a housewife. She loves me too but she doesn’t show it muchly like my father. My brother’s name is Burak and he is 22 years old. He is studying in İstanbul Technichal University. His faculty is ship building. He always chooses the sensible choises. We can understand each other very well. Sometimes he comes near of me and starts to play with me. He advertised me this university. Well.. My name is Hazal and i’m 17 years old (i will be 18 in december). I graduaded from anatolian high school. I’ve got many hobbies. I like doing sport. I like swimming but 2 years ago water run away into my ear that’s why i can’t swim with fathom or dive. I like playing volleyball and i was in the school team when i was in the high school. I have got a medallion. I like table tennis it’s enjoyable. I love theatre. I like watch it but mostly play in it. I like watching films too. I have got a little film collection. My favourite films are Stardust, Butterfly Effect, Beatlejuice, and the serie of The Lord of The Kings. I love reading books. Especially fantastic ones. But i love classics too. I’m trying to read classics in English. For example i read 34 books in this summer and mostly they were English. I read Notre Dame and Animal Farm in English. Also Barbara Cartman’s books too. I like learning foreign languages. I can’t say i know English but i can tell what am i talking about to foreign person. I like drawing. This summer i went to course which is in Kadıköy about drawing. That was really enjoyable and quite good for me. I like taking photos too. I want to join photograph club in the school. Well that looks like i’m a social person J

I guess it’s time for telling my personality. The test says that i’m mostly type A and a little bit B. Actually i agree the results of the test. I’m not completely type A or B just i have got both of them but mostly type A. I’m really warm-blooded person. I give appreciate people too much that’s why if something happens badly that will be sad for me. Some people doesn’t know the meaning of frienship. Frienship is important for me. I’m afraid of people can understand me wrong. It’s hard to fix it. I’m thoughtful person. Sometimes i can be ambitious but it will change for the situation. I’m an enjoyable person. I like going-out wasting time with my friends. I’m self-confident but not much. I mean i trust myself for lessons but not my looking :) I was hard-working in the primary school but in high school that wasn’t like that. Actually i decided to hard-working in university last year and i will be. Some people are emotional and i always imitate them because i’m sensible. I believe that my personality and the things that i believe are strong-willed. I like being creative. Think about something and make it real or drawing or something else. Sometimes that i can be depressed and in those times i will be close into myself but generally i smile at people :) I wanted to put more smiley in this write but it’s my homework and i guess it’s enough for smiling. I have got a bad side like everyone. I’m quick-tempered i mean get angry very easily. It’s bad mostly times for me. I have been triying to control it since last year’s summer and i guess i’m really succesful about it.

Hello. My name is M.Yahya Muşta. I am from Konya and I was born in Konya as well. Konya is approximately in the middle of Turkey. I went to primary school and high school in Konya. Now I am a university student at University of Özyeğin. As you knew, it is in İstanbul. I have a brother and a sister. My sister is married. In addition, my brother in the primary school. My mother is a housewife. My father is an executive.

Now I want to tell you my most life experience in my life.During the high school, I went to France in summer for work and travelling. I have been there for a month. I went there alone so I was independent as always. That was my first important experience in my life. There were 16 people.8 girls and 8 boys. In addition, all my friends were different countries. So that was such a great opportunity to know other’s people culture. And we were sleeping in the tent. I really enjoyed there so much. Moreover, our work was to restore a mill. Mill was 103 years old. The mill was more beautiful before we restored itJ. My unforgettable moment was in France, people were so polite. I do not eat pork. In one time, there was a festival in our camp area. Then as you guessed camp’s food was pork. I said that I do not eat pork. They asked; do you eat chicken? I answered that, yes, I eat chicken. Then he brought me a chicken 10 kilometer away from the camp. That was really impressed me. And I admired him as well. Because he was so respectful to the other religions.

I like sports so much. I can play all sports. Basketball, soccer, tennis etc. Whatever I want to play. I think that I am sportive person. I do not become tired so easily. I am energetic as well. I am open-minded. I like to talk to people so much. I think that it is very helpful to improve your personality. You get ideas from them and you can discuss something else with them. Moreover, I am adventurous. In addition, my life philosophy is happiness is a journey not a destination. I love this saying so much.

According to online MSNBC quiz, I do not know where I am exactly. It says I am between an A minus and B plus. I am driven and busy. I like to work hard. Nevertheless, I do not like to study so much. I can become such an aggressive person sometimes. I want to do anything else so fast. It means I hate people who are so slowly. Be fast do not be turtle:). I can focus on something fairly easy. However, I think that there is something missing I am competitive I mean I am really challenger when I see somebody intelligent. I also strongly believe that I am strong-willed, creative, sensible and self-confident person. Moreover, according to quiz result there is a mistake about me I have never been hard-working.
