My HoLLaND tRiP...

We had experiences, learned different things ,learned different cultures when we were on trip. because of that I think trips are very important in our lifes..
You know that ı was a student at marmara highscholl and my school had projects in another countries. Some of student can take part in projects.When ı was in prep class there was a project about meeting different cultures in Holland.I decided to join this project with my friends..We would stay with families which lived in that country.I was worried about staying with another family. but when ı learned my family was turkısh ı was shocked ı thought that it was a chance..and ı was very excited

İn march 4 years ago ı went holland by a plane.first ı arrived airport in amsterdam but our projects famillies were in nijmegen.we went nijmegen by bus it took 1 or 2 hours..we met with our famillies in ssgn highschool in nijmegen.. ı leaved my friends and went my familly's home.my project partner was Ender who is my project my familly's son . he was vey honest. one day later my best friends ali came my home because his project familly's home very small to stay and he stayed with us .And my another friend Simay had argument with her project familly and she stayed with us . we were 4 teenager in home and we had fun alot. we went school in weekdays by bicycles.İn a school there were alot of students around theworld chinese,german,spanish,english,american... etc. we met different cultures.. in school . we went alot of different places in holland. in weekend we went germany for one day because ıt is near nijmegen. the short trip in germany was very enjoyable.. holland is very interesting place with it's canals,streets. it was unusual with other countries ex: marijuanna is free and there are redlight streets .=) we stayed in holland for 15 days it was very enjoyable and funny...
My best trip is holland because it was the first time to leave home without family for a long time and ı have never been trip on abroad before.And ı was free without my family in another country. I had experiences ,had fun,saw different places in holland because of theese my best trip is holland...

In Italy, Rome is known as La citta’ eterna—the Eternal City. Of course, I had been to Rome twice before, but when my mother decided to fly all the way from Los Angeles to visit me in Istanbul, I thought, if she is coming to the European continent, she must see Rome. Since she was coming for two weeks, I thought that she can spend one week in Rome, and one week in Istanbul.

Rome is an ancient city, with over 3000 years of visible history. At every step, there are Greek and Roman ruins, beautiful Piazzas with elaborate fountains, or ancient churches with lavish decorations. Sometimes, the amount of beauty and history can be overwhelming, so my mother and I balanced our cultural trips to museums and churches by shopping. For what? What is Italy most famous for, other than its beautiful landscapes, architecture, and amazing food? Fashion, of course! So my mother and I searched for bargains while shopping for beautiful shoes and clothes.

While I enjoyed walking around, revisiting and admiring Bernini’s amazing fountains and sculptures, I also missed home, and by home, I mean Istanbul. My mother and I spent a lot of time in crowded buses that were stuck in traffic or in the metro. At those times, I missed the Bosphorous, and the possibility of simply taking a ferry across from one side of the city to another.

All in all, I had a lot of fun, drank a lot of cappuccinos, and ate a variety of pizza and pasta dishes. I also enjoyed being in a country where I speak the language.

I would recommend any of you to discover Italy in all its beauty, but be aware that the Euromakes everything expensive for us; Even a simple lunch can cost up to 30 Euros.

Vacation with friends is the best:)

What is the best way for a vacation?With your family or friends.According to me the second one sounds better:)Because you feel free with your friends when you are away from your home.

So,last summer i decided to go to Antalya for a week with my friends.Unfortunately,we did not have any reservations. It was very interesting and fantastic travelling without a plan. We went to Antalya,Kemer by bus. Then we started to look for a hotel.It took about five hours to find a nice hotel.Most hotels were full or did not accept single guys. We were nearly hopeless untill we saw the Maxim Resort Hotel.We told them that we were good guys and came from far away:)After that we stayed for 3 days in The Maxim Resort. It was very comfortable and suitable for a rest.

In the mornings we had breakfast early then we went to the pool. Also we had joined to the activities like gymnastic,dart etc. I became the winner in dart:)They did not give me an award.But thunders of applause made me better:)

We had really wonderful time.Especially jet ski and parachute were unforgettable experiances for me.During our vacation we made many friends who came from Russia.They were getting hard while saying my name like Anna.So i suggested that they could call me Sergey:)We went to disco together and walked in Antalya.

What a pity,our time was over in the Maxim hotel.As soon as it was over,we could find an other five stars hotel which was next to the Maxim hotel:)We booked a room for 4 days.Before going to new hotel, we had to stay in a four stars hotel for a night:)Because our second hotel did not have an available room for that night.This four stars hotel was not as comfortable as the Maxim.It's pool was smaller and the foods were worse.We were only drinking and listening to music.That nigth was awful.Also we had missed our Russian friends.The next days,we hired motorbikes and explored Antalya again:)

When we got bored,i bought a cylindrical drum beaten with the hands and played for our foreign friends in the city centre at night.The tourists who were walking around, were listening to me and dancing:)I did not care what they tought about me,we were just having fun:)

While we were leaving from Antalya,we were very happy.I recommend that have your vacation with your friends.

How about my Ramadan Bayram? If you want to learn how was it you can read!!

Bayram is not a kind of holiday for me.It is time to being together.We have two Bayrams.One of them is Ramadan Bayram...Ramadan Bayram has one more name.Have you ever heard of it? The Lesser Bairam is the second name of it.Ramadan Bayram is the feast which marks the breaking of the Ramadan fast.

I will talk about “ how I spent my Ramadan Bayram”.First of all, I can say that it was really enjoyable.However ,I didn’t expect that it will pass too enjoyable.Also,it passed fast,too.The purpose of Bayram was only meeting with relatives,neighbourhoods and getting candy from them.We obeyed this rule and I went to Gebze with my family as every Bayram we went.Because,my grandmother and my grandfather are living in Gebze.Also,my uncle who is my mother’s brother is living at there,too.We set out our house on Tuesday which was the first day of the Bayram.We used public bus and train as a transportation vehicle.Travelling by train is my favorite.We got to there in three hours.I selected sleeping during my travelling as always.Also my aunt,her husband and their son came there on the first day of Ramadan Bayram.Seeing them was really good.We were all there on the first day.My grandparent’s neighbourhood came there,as well.We visited some of our neighbourhood.I ate lots of candy and chocolate.Shame on me if I forget to mention baklava . We got back on Wednesday evening.Nothing happened interesting.It was a usual Ramadan Bayram,so I have nothing to tell . Although there weren’t anything interesting,ıt was special and living those times worthed everything.My Bayram carried on and finished like that...

How wonderful bayrams they were,always we say.
It became a usual statement.
Yes,old Bayrams were unusual and special.
People who lived at that time were looking forward to come the Bayram.
Because....
Bayram meant :
New wearings,
New shoes,
Pocket money :)) for them.
They were all kissing their hands without saying to people young or old.
Their purpose was only getting colourful an sweety candy.
I don’t know whether it meant like ours to the nowadays’ children ....I hope so !!
Up to me,it must be like that.
Meanwhile its meaning is still same for me.
If it means something else for nowadays’ children, Iwill became upset for them.
Children who can not live Bayram with all its special meanings makes me crying.
All the people must live the Bayram even it is only one day .
No one can say “what can I do if bayram comes?”
We can find so many things to do.
For example, one day is enough for remembering each other,as well..
I think,Ramadan Bayram is a chance for remembering .
Remember all your relatives,neighbours,friends etc.

Far East

I immediately remembered my trip to Thailand,when i saw the topic.I cant remember all of my journey clearly but i think,i can tell something interesting about it...

When we were sitting at the balcony,dad came and said 'we are going to far east-Thailand'.I really shocked after i heard it.I really upset and said ' what are we gonna do in Thailand?'.He said that'Don't worry son we are going to see wonderful places,i searched a lot about it'.Of course we had to accept,so hadn't any choises.
Anyways,We transfered from Bahreyn when flying to Thailand.Bahreyn was very hot and also dried.My mother said that we stayed at Bahreyn a day but i can't remember that part :/.When we landed to Thailand,they meet us with flowers,which set up in a circle.As you know,most far east countries people's believe Budizm.We saw their temples and statues.I can't give you a lot information about this cause,i went there while i was too young.Anyways,we taste lots of different foods and fruits in Bangkok.There were many market-places in Bangkok.It was interesting because you have to take boat to pass the river and then buy them.Also,I tasted a fruit which was red and got soft thorns on it.I guess,it called 'rambutan'.There was a restaurant like shopping mall.You use shopping carts and take fishes in it,then you gonna give it for to be cooked.
One day,they brought us to an island.It was awesome,you can tan without a sun.Impressed right?Unfortunately we had to turn back from island because of the storm but i think,we enjoyed a lot as well as taned.Another day they brought us to a big natural zoo.There was a guy who edged his head in to crocodiles mouth.Audience really felt uneasy about this situation.Thank God,there wasn't any accident happend.Of course,this wasn't the impressing part...We went to farm which has full of snakes.They showed us how to doing medicine with snake poison.It was gladsome happening for science.In the other hand,they brought us to other area where all these shows happening.Entertainer asked that'Are there any volunteers to carry this 6-8 meters length snake.After that,my dad encouraged me to be volunteer for that show.I really want to show my picture but i couldn't find :/.Also,my mom wasn't be with us cause she hates snakes.Anyways,we carried this snake as 6-7 people.It was really affective,what an experience?:D.
After many hours later,we came back to Turkey.I really enjoyed my trip.And i reliezed that,we shouldn't be too prejudiced...

my London Travel which brought me star friends :))

İ was in London-Ascott about a four years ago. İ went there for learn English and improve myself.My mother’s friend is teacher and she goes London every year for her students. She told me why i don’t go with her and i decided to go London. İt was my first travel on abroad and i was really excite. Everything was wonderful and i was very happy.

We went there from airplane.We set out to airport and i was really serious... . Watch clouds,see many islands ,drink coffees which beautiful hostess treated us every thing was good but i thought my family. Until we got back i won’t see them and i will miss them but my family want to travel alone for me...

After 3 hours we got to London.We stopped off one hour because of time time lag and then we went to hour hotel.Staffs took us and helped us for diffrences in London.


We went to hotel and looked over our plan. English lessons was start mornings and finish afternoon. After the lessons finish we went to historical places of London;museums,monasteries,universities ... After these trips we went to sports. All things were going on way.

Lessons were not boring we draw pictures,play games which practise our speaking and making projects for example we draw maps anywhere and we know countries very well. Learning English as well not easy in two weeks of course but we were learn to make diolog to people who came from another countries. We met many people in different cultures. İ have a letter friend in London and i still in contact with her.

Trips were very exiting and we feel diffrence to be there. The best place i have ever seen was Madam Tussauds Museum.There was a wonderful place that i have ever seen.We saw gliterring world of fame for a day at Madam Tussauds. İn this museum there is a wax crucifixions. They were amazing. You can find all world stars in there Kylie Minouge,Marilyn Monroe,Beyonce.Pavorotti,Johnny Deep,kings... there was no body guards or velvet ropes. You can rub shoulders of Hollywood stars and take a photo with them. You can be great friend with Britney spears for example...

İ recommend to you go there and see all stars,my best star was Orlando Bloom. All my life i can’t go and meet him so i met his crucifixion =)

Fantastic Varna

It was 2 years ago.We decided to go Varna in August. It was the first time we were going to Varna. Because of that I was very curious about our travel. The purpose of this travel was for both touristic and visit my little cousin. We took a bus to Varna because there was no flight. It took 10 hours to get there.In the border of 2 countries we stopped for custom security controls. Before our journey we heard a lot of things about difficulties of custom security controls however, we were lucky for these custom transactions.We got to Varna early in the morning. Varna is the third largest city in Bulgaria. It’s located along the cost of Black Sea. Varna is a city of tourism,natural beauties,lots of touristic hotels and centers,golden beaches and thermals.
Varna was quiet but very enjoyable.There were lovely green parks and city squares . We went by walking to many places in the city, easy to walk around.There was a main shopping avenue in the centre of the town. There were a lot of cafe’s and restaurants. I liked ice-creams.It was called Italian ice-cream and the porsions were very very big and cheap. I can recommend you to taste that ice-creams.
We visited one of the Ottoman Mosque and it was converted into a Church.
We also made several countryside visits such as Silistre city which was very close to the border of Romania. We visited several archeological museums and we had lovely fish lunch along the Douna river ( Tuna). We had also a chance to visit one typical village that was a great experience for us. We explored the major sites of the town.

We experienced dolphinarium that is aquarium for
dolphins. Most of them are kept in large pools for
performing and all trained by professional people.

We visited the cathedral of Varna and etnographic
museum and the archeological museum that was covered
the rich collection of items from all over Bulgaria.

We went to the seaside called Golden Beaches for
swimming. There were numbers of luxury hotels along the
beach. We rented an interesting bicycle that 7 people can
ride on together. We laughed while riding and had lots of
fun.Bulgarian Folk Dances are very famous.We visited interesting restaurant there was a fire show.The dancers danced on a fire with naked feet. They served meals in original plates made of pottery. Especially the meals such as salads,meats were served with white cheese on top.

Varna is a very interesting destination for travel. Especially for summer vacations it’s really worth to stay. I can recommend.
