This is very common in asian countries.Chinese people dont like to touch strange people, if they are older or in a position of authority.
Respect The Elders
Every young people should respect to the elders according to Confucian Rules.
Keep your hands out of you mouth
Putting your hands in your mouth is considered to be rude in Chinese culture. Don't Eat Your Nails too !
How to Act
As we know every culture has differences in acting. In China to greet someone you nod your head or you bow.Handshakes are common, but you should wait for your Chinese partner.
To Spit ground and blow your Nose
Actually these behaviours are unacceptable in a great deal of asian countries but not in China.
Dress
China is a multicultural country and in effect of capitalism. You can use your own dressing style in China , because this is acceptable in there.
