Chapter 5.2


Classified (Adjective): describes information that is officially stated to be secret.
Example:
These documents contain classified material.

Endorsement (noun):
to make a public statement of your approval or support for something or someone.
Example:
The National Executive is expected to endorse these recommendations.

Hand Bill (noun):
Small notices and advertisements.
Example:
You must give these hand bills to people.

Mail Order (noun):
a way of buying goods in which you choose what you want, usually from a catalogue, and it is sent to you.
Example:
I often buy clothes by mail order.

Poster (noun):
a large printed picture, photograph or notice which you stick or pin to a wall or board, usually for decoration or to advertise something.
Example:
We noticed a poster advertising a circus.

TV Commercial (noun):
It is advertisment which is on TV and like a break of a film or soap opera.
Example:
I hate TV commercials which are really long.

Wall Painting (noun):
A colourful image on stone.
Example: In İstanbul you can see many wall paintings.

Word-of-mouth:
Passing messages from one person to another orally.
Example: I heard about this mp3 players advertisement by word-of-mouth.

Promote (verb):
to encourage the popularity, sale, development or existence of something.
Example:
Advertising companies are always having to think up new ways to promote products.
